Advance and Retreat

I am typing this with my thumbs on my phone, my comPuter having given up for now. I suppose, because I type reeeeeaaaallly slowly this way, that I will not be saying too much of substance until I resolve this issue. That probably will be on Friday, when I am in Seattle. I am missing writing daily and can Only hope you will bear with me.

Today was a successful "out and about day". Tu and I and several kids were off on an adventure--and we navigated being out and food shopping with no meltdowns (neither kid nor adult!) We both had thermoses of soup, Tu had squash simmered in broth, and I had a country pate I made a couple of days ago. Add in water and Ginger tea and we ate so well that no "treats" demanded our attention. Yay for that!

We also spent a while talking to a friend with Lyme disease about using GAPS to heal fromthe heavy antibiotics his naturopath has prescribed. Just yesterday I was reading about that in Dr. Natasha's FAQs. (I have found it useful to reread them regularly, as certain things only sink in after repetition). We were daydreaming as group about setting up an Intro Retreat to help others get started.

What do you think? Would that be a useful enterprise?

I think that's a great idea! In fact, just this morning after coming home from Laugh Yoga, which is the greatest thing eveh, I was dreaming of a place that included healthy eating, laugh yoga, massage and bodytalk out in the woods for complete cleansing!

Thanks for the feedback ladies! Tu and I are plotting... I guess we could just put the word out to the GAPS community when we have it figured out?

Please!! Do it!! I would love to go there myself and would recommend it to tons of people. The only thing that keeps me from adventuring and vacationing is the icky food out there. If there was a place that had good, clean food... I'm there!!! At our GAPS support group Friday night (it's a potluck) the food was SOOO delicious we were all in heaven just being able to share it all and not have to cook everything ourselves! It was very rejuvenating.

Great idea ! How wonderful it would be to have support and someone to help with soups on those days when energy and ideas aren't there.
It is so inspiring that you are helping someone new to the GAPs intro by providing soup and support.
You provide encouragement for many...thanks !

Hi Gina--

I would love to do it. Maybe someday when I am done with my masters... and the potluck sounds great! It would be such fun to be able to have an evening out where I don't have to cook anything.
